REM Technology Inc. Signs Agreement with BossPac
July 29, 2011
REM Technology Inc. (RTI) has signed an agreement with BossPac Engineering Technology to be the exclusive master distributor for the BossPac WASP Early Compressor Valve Leak Detection products in the United States. The WASP system is unique in its ability to provide wireless vibration and temperature data for each individual compressor valve providing compressor operators with the ability to detect early valve failures. The wireless puck technology can be easily mounted to each valve cap using a powerful magnet or screwed in as required. A receiver then samples each puck at an adjustable frequency and analyses and stores the data to determine the valve condition. The receiver has a 485 modbus output that can be used to connect to any PLC or engine/compressor control system for further analysis and action.
The WASP system can be configured as a permanently mounted system or as a portable system used for routine analysis or troubleshooting.
REM Technology Inc. is a technology development company specializing in providing solid, proven optimization, monitoring and control technology for reciprocating machinery. Our technology usually comes in the form of a packaged control system with our application software and application-specific engine/compressor modifications, sensors and end devices to deliver customer-expected results. Our technology can also be offered as components or stand-alone applications that can easily interface to existing customer control and monitoring systems.
RTI's two flagship products, REMVue® and SlipStream® are used to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and VOC's from natural gas compression facilities and improve the efficiency of reciprocating engines. These technologies also capture vented emissions from such facilities for use as a supplementary fuel source.
BossPac Engineering and Technology is a Calgary, Alberta-based research and development firm specializing in the design and manufacture of robust condition monitoring equipment targeted for use in the hazardous and harsh environments within the oil and gas sector. Beyond the BossPac WASP, the company's product line includes:
- BossPac 3 Axis Vibration Transmitter/Switch featuring an onboard display of velocity and acceleration as well as analog and digital outputs.
- BossPac Divider Block Monitor and Blue Box data logger provides No Flow, Low Flow, and Over Flow alarms. The system also logs daily totals of lubrication rates.
- BossPac Chemical Injection Control System which uses a combination of analog and digital inputs to control the injection rates of both solar and pneumatic chemical injection pumps.
All products developed by BossPac are designed for easy integration into existing PLCs and SCADA systems or can be connected to www.yourSCADA.com – BossPac’s cost-effective Satellite Callout and control system allowing remote compressors and chemical injection sites to be monitored and controlled.
